会長挨拶

第39回日本乾癬学会学術大会
会長　鶴田　大輔（大阪公立大学大学院医学研究科皮膚病態学）

皆様におかれましては益々ご清栄のことと存じます。2024年８月24日から25日にかけて、グランフロント大阪にて開催されます第39回日本乾癬学会学術大会の会頭を務めさせていただく鶴田大輔と申します。この度は、会長挨拶を通じて、大会の概要と私たちの熱い思いをお伝えできることを光栄に思います。

本大会のテーマを「乾癬夫婦善哉」と定めました。このユニークなテーマは、乾癬という疾患が、現状では一度罹患すると一生にわたり、夫婦のようにお付き合いする疾患であることを象徴的に示しています。また、この疾患は患者だけでなく、その家族にも深く影響を及ぼすことを象徴しています。今回、尋常性乾癬だけではなく、膿疱性乾癬や掌蹠膿疱症、その他の好中球関連皮膚疾患についても幅広く討論し、総合的な理解と治療法の進展に寄与することを目指しています。

今年は、新たな一歩として、全面対面学会という形式を採用いたしました。この変更は、直接的なコミュニケーションと熱意ある討論を促進するためのものであり、参加者の皆様にとってより充実した体験を提供することを期待しております。

今回、さまざまな講演とシンポジウムを４つ用意致しました。招待講演として、乾癬における分子生物学的研究でご高名なManolis Pasparakis先生をお招きできました。さらに、特別講演として飯塚一先生に乾癬学におけるレジェンドとしてのお立場から、またDavid Granville先生に乾癬を含む皮膚科疾患でのプロテアーゼの役割についてご講演頂きます。また、３つの教育講演や浮世絵に関する文化講演もご用意致しました。彼らの知見と経験は、本大会を一層豊かなものにしてくれることでしょう。

また、前会長大久保ゆかり先生が始められた若手医師向けのEnglish sessionを継続し、国際的な視野を持った医師の育成にも力を入れてまいります。このセッションを通じて、若手医師が国際的な舞台で自信を持って発表し、活躍できる機会を増やしていきたいと考えております。

さらには、スポンサードシンポジウムも多数用意できました。特に、日本脊椎関節炎学会との合同シンポジウムも引き続き実施いたします。乾癬と脊椎関節炎の密接な関係に焦点を当て、両分野の専門家が知識を交換し合うこのシンポジウムは、両疾患の理解を深め、患者様へのより良いケアへと繋がることを期待しています。

もちろん、これまで通り、多数の一般演題が提出されることも期待いたしております。

乾癬患者友の会、掌蹠膿疱症患者会の学習会も例年通り行うこととなっています。これら以外にもさまざまなイベントや講習会が行われることとなっています。

最後に、本大会の成功のために尽力してくださるすべての関係者、そして参加される皆様に心から感謝申し上げます。皆様のご支援とご協力に深く感謝し、有意義で刺激的な学術大会になるよう努めてまいります。

I, Daisuke Tsuruta, am pleased to serve as the President of the 39th Annual Meeting of the Japanese Psoriasis Society, which will be held at Grand Front Osaka on August 24-25, 2024. I am honored to be able to give you an overview of the congress and our passion for it through my presidential address.

We have chosen the theme of this convention as "Psoriasis Married Couple Good Luck". This unique theme symbolically indicates that psoriasis is a disease that, at present, once a person is affected by it, he/she has to marry with psoriasis for the rest of his or her life. It also symbolizes that this disease deeply affects not only the patient but also his/her family. This year's conference aims to discuss not only psoriasis vulgaris, but also pustular psoriasis, palmoplantar pustulosis, and other neutrophil-associated skin diseases, contributing to a comprehensive understanding of the disease and the advancement of treatment methods.

This year, as a new step forward, we have adopted the format of an all-face-to-face conference. This change is intended to promote direct communication and enthusiastic discussion, which we hope will provide an enhanced experience for all attendees.

We have prepared four different lectures and symposia. We have invited Dr. Manolis Pasparakis, a renowned expert in the molecular biology of psoriasis, to give an invited lecture. Dr. Hajime Iizuka, a legend in the field of psoriasis, and Dr. David Granville, who will discuss the role of proteases in psoriasis and other dermatological diseases, will also give special lectures. We have also prepared three educational lectures and a cultural lecture on Ukiyo-e. Their knowledge and experience will further enrich this congress.

We will also continue the English session for young doctors initiated by the former president, Dr. Yukari Okubo, to foster doctors with an international perspective. Through these sessions, we hope to increase opportunities for young physicians to present and work confidently on the international stage.

Furthermore, we have prepared a number of sponsored symposia. In particular, we will continue to offer a joint symposium with the Japanese Society for Spondyloarthritis. Focusing on the close relationship between psoriasis and spondyloarthritis, we hope that this symposium, in which experts in both fields exchange knowledge, will deepen understanding of both diseases and lead to better care for patients.

Of course, as in the past, we expect a large number of general abstracts to be submitted.
Study meetings of the Psoriasis Patients' Friendship Association and the Palmoplantar Pustulosis Patients' Association will also be held as in previous years. In addition, there will be a variety of other events and workshops.

Finally, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to all those who are working hard to make this convention a success, and to all those who will be attending. We deeply appreciate your support and cooperation and will strive to make this a meaningful and stimulating academic conference.
